Whatever product or service you have it is important to figure out who the Target Audience is, that is to say, who would most benefit from the particular product or service. There is a main demographic for every product or service and it is important to cater your marketing efforts to those specific people primarily.
For example, if you are trying to market a Fishing Pole, it’s important to know who currently would benefit from a new Fishing Pole. Your research would show you that Males from age 23-46 make up the main demographic of fishing enthusiasts. Knowing this you can correctly tailor your marketing efforts to meet the demands of this particular group of people.
By knowing your product or service’s demographic you will be able to know what medium is best to broadcast your particular goods or services. For the Fishing Pole example, the best marketing is gained through Print and Television advertisements in the 6pm to 8pm time-slots. In the end, knowing your demographic will enable you to best utilize your marketing efforts and expenditures.
